Hotel Lonca

Lifestyle photography

Located in Škofja Loka, the hotel’s name traces back to the year 973, when the town was historically referred to as “Lonca.” Built on the same site as the former Hotel Transturist, which closed in 2005. Hotel Lonca represents a contemporary reinterpretation of its predecessor combining historical context with a modern architectural and visual identity.

Blending luxury, comfort, and cultural heritage, the hotel is designed as a destination for guests seeking relaxation and an authentic connection to the rich history of the surrounding area.

Challenges

I was tasked with capturing the lifestyle and atmosphere of the hotel, focusing on the overall guest experience and the feeling of staying on the premises. The photography aimed to present not only the architecture and interior spaces, but also the mood hotel offers to its visitors.

The visual direction highlighted various aspects of the experience from the activities available to guests, the design and ambiance of the rooms, to the culinary experience and food presentation. The goal was to create imagery that feels inviting and immersive, allowing potential visitors to envision the atmosphere and quality of the stay before even arriving.
